other 2006 exhibits
April 6, through April 29, 2006
Pacini Lubel will present the ceramic sculpture of Margaret Ford in the East gallery from April 6, through April 29, 2006. Margaret Ford had exhibited her work through Foster White Gallery for 28 years. This body of work represents her inaugural show with Pacini Lubel.
Margaret Ford has created a new approach to her work, no longer incorporating branches and sticks into her figurative sculpture. Margaret has been inspired by the events surrounding the American involvement in Iraq and created a number of pieces that are a direct corollary to the looting that occurred in Baghdad following the downfall of the Hussein regime. One will also notice that Margaret has created figurative work with detailed facial characteristics - no longer does she present figurative work without eyes - her figures engage the viewer in a more personal manner.
